A NOTE FROM
THE MUSIC DIRECTOR
Welcome to the Chorale’s 32nd concert season! We have quite a variety of beautiful, inspirational, and entertaining choral music in store for you this year. Our season begins with Poets on Life and Love, a program that features Vaughan Williams’ masterpiece Five Mystical Songs. We take a nostalgic look at Christmases past with Christmas with the Chorale, a concert of traditional holiday favorites. We continue two long-standing NEPA traditions, with the 26th Annual Messiah Sing-Along and the 25th Annual NEPA Bach Festival. And this year the Chorale was accorded a special honor: an invitation to perform at the American Choral Directors Association Eastern Division Conference in Philadelphia. That appearance is open only to attendees of the conference, but we are offering a local preview of our performance at the conference, which we’re calling Destination: Philadelphia. Our season concludes with our annual Pops Concert: An Evening of Rodgers &
Hammerstein.
