Ann Manganiello

Ann Manganiello, of Exeter, received her BM and MA music degrees from Marywood University. She teaches music at Holy Redeemer High School, Wilkes-Barre, is the Director of Choral Activities and has also served as Music Department Chair. She is also the music teacher at St. Jude’s School in Mountaintop. Ms. Manganiello is in her fourth year as the Director of the Catholic Choral Society which marked its 60th year of existence in the spring. Ms. Manganiello is the Music/Choir Director and organist at St. Cecilia/St. John the Baptist Parish Communities in Exeter. A member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association she serves as the music district’s Chairman of the Curriculum Instruction Committee, and the district’s Music Fest and Annual Dinner Coordinator. In 2007 she was awarded the PMEA District 9 Distinguished Service Award.

Ms. Manganiello has served as Director of Music for Diocesan Inservice Liturgies and Catechetical Convocation Liturgies. She has directed the music for the Diocesan Annual Pilgrimage at the National Shrine in Washington, D.C.; the Luzerne County Deanery Mass and a 300 voice Student Choir for the diocesan 125th Anniversary Liturgy held at Montage Stadium. Recently she directed the Combined Choirs of St. Cecilia and St. Anthony’s of Exeter at Liturgy to mark the beginning of the celebration year of Exeter’s 125th Anniversary.

A member of the American Choral Directors Association, Ms. Manganiello has conducted the Junior High Chorus at the Luzerne County Chorus Festival and also Marywood University’s Summer Music Camp. She is also the pianist/accompanist for Misericordia University’s Religious Institute of Law. Having served as accompanist/pianist/organist throughout the district and diocese, she is also a member of the National Pastoral Musicians, the American College of Musicians/National Piano Guild and instructs privately on piano, organ and voice.
